Using the PDR (paintless dent repair or paintless ding removal) process as a cheap alternative to full auto body work is the smartest solution, however there are limitations to this kind of dent or ding repair. Approximately 80 - 90% of all dings and dents can be removed using PDR techniques at low cost.
When we evaluate a dent or ding the main consideration is the depth of the dent or ding and the location. Deep dents or dings sometimes push the metal too far and it is not possible for a 100% fix. Many people might be content with the repair that can be provided, but to completely remove dents or dings that deep, some body work might be necessary. The other factor that comes into play is the location of the dents or dings.
Dents and dings with deep creases or next to the edge of a panel increase the difficulty of reaching the area for a full repair. These areas are where most dents and dings tend to crease the metal making it very difficult to remove to an "undetectable" result. Although many people are content with the result we can provide, our goal is to completely remove the dent or ding.
